Some recommandations:

Travel to Caen:

By plane + train:

The best is to fly to Paris and take the train to Caen.

The ideal is to choose Paris Orly airport since there is a new metro line (Line 14) connecting directly the airport to the train stations (Gare Saint Lazare). Then you will find easily trains (TER : Transport Express Régional) from Paris St-Lazare station to Caen (Train tikets)
